Performance at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York

The Pavel Haas Quartet will perform tonight at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York as part of Czech Music Week, where it has been invited together with the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Philharmonic Choir. The programme consists exclusively of works by Czech composers. It will feature Josef Suk’s Meditation on the Old Czech Chorale “St. Wenceslas”, Bedřich Smetana’s String Quartet No. 1 in E minor “From My Life” and Leoš Janáček’s String Quartet No. 2 “Intimate Letters”. The concert is the culmination of the celebration of the Year of Czech Music 2024.
